So long for now ~

This blog is suspended while its author is undergoing repair. Best wishes to all of my followers and to any other readers of these posts. A special thank-you to Dan, who has encouraged my efforts tirelessly, and to the person who nominated this blog for the Sunshine Award. You have no idea how ironic that was, but it brought a smile to my face.

Some spring wildflowers ~

All of these were photographed at Giant City State Park, southern Illinois. Two were taken with a Pentax K-50 DSLR and three were taken with a compact Olympus SZ-12. Is the difference apparent? The images are definitely on the soft side, some more than others. It was much too windy a day to be photographing flowers, but you take what you can get. The important thing is…spring!

Chocolate torte ~

We were finally able to get my sister out for a short excursion last weekend. At lunch she ordered chocolate torte. The drizzlings of chocolate and strawberry syrup and the dollops of whipped cream prompted me to pull my little Olympus compact out and snap a few shots. This image is much too soft, but it still needles my appetite.
