All of these were photographed at Giant City State Park, southern Illinois. Two were taken with a Pentax K-50 DSLR and three were taken with a compact Olympus SZ-12. Is the difference apparent? The images are definitely on the soft side, some more than others. It was much too windy a day to be photographing flowers, but you take what you can get. The important thing is…spring!

Lovely! I envy you getting to enjoy spring. We woke to a couple of inches of snow on the ground today.
You’ll get there. Everything was later to bloom this year, by about a month. People complained about the winter, but southern Illinois actually lucked out. Snow and ice were far worse north, east, and even south of here. No ice storms here that took down trees. Can’t even imagine going through a winter like you had in Minneapolis.
